Process
All pieces seen are handmade for you in my solar-powered workshop in East Sussex, UK. Starting in the form of wax, each piece is carved and then sent to be cast into silver or gold.
One-offs only
I make all my jewellery by hand, using the lost-wax casting method and traditional techniques.
Lost-wax casting is the process whereby a molten metal (silver or gold) is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the mould is made, the wax model is melted and drained away, leaving behind the casted piece. This will then be finished in my workshop, which entails polishing, sizing, reshaping and stone setting (my favourite bit!)

Unrepeatable Pieces
I create each item in wax as I go, meaning that every texture, hand graved line or mark is never the same, making a different and unique piece each time, what I call “unrepeatable”.
I never use wax moulds or masters (which can be used to create multiples of one item) as I love the idea of producing something that has never existed before.
Materials
All pieces cast use 100% recycled silver or gold. As someone conscious of my impact on the environment, I try to reduce waste, not over-produce work and recycle all my materials. All gemstones are sourced from UK based wholesalers who cut and process gems in controlled and ethical environments, meaning equipment and environment law is the norm. I also use recycled stones, which have been carefully extracted from vintage or nearly new pieces and sold via a certified seller of recycled gems. I will only ever use stones that are 100% genuine and of a high quality.
